Carlos C. Goller, Ph.D. is an associate teaching professor in the Department of Biological Sciences and teaches in the Biotechnology Program at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C. Prior to joining NC State, Goller completed a research postdoctoral fellowship at Duke University School of Medicine and a teaching postdoctoral experience at NC State. During his time at NC State, Goller has developed curricula for and taught course-based research experience (CRE) lab modules for undergraduate and graduate students on topics such as metagenomics, yeast metabolic engineering, high-throughput discovery and metabolic modeling. He has participated in ASM DBER professional development opportunities and is part of the RLOE.org and QUBES/BioQUEST advisory teams. Goller is interested in promoting open education, bioinformatics training and molecular biology resources that facilitate high-impact practices.
