Margaret Powers-Fletcher, Ph.D., is a research director for the College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Cincinnati. She earned her doctorate in pathobiology and molecular medicine, focused on medical mycology, from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She then completed fellowship training in medical and public health laboratory microbiology at the University of Utah, after which she became board-certified in clinical microbiology.
Her personal research portfolio includes work to improve health care outcomes through diagnostic stewardship research and education, as well as COVID-19 clinical trials and epidemiology research. She is also passionate about empowering others and building inclusive research and learning environments throughout the scientific community.
