Janani Hariharan is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Integrative Plant Science at Cornell University. Her researches uses comparative genomics to understand the ecology and evolution of Streptomyces bacteria in the soil. Janani is also passionate about increasing equity and access to STEM, and she does this through her science writing and advocacy efforts.
