Provincial Public Health Laboratory
Dr. Natalie Marshall is a clinical microbiologist at the Provincial Public Health Laboratory in Alberta, Canada. She is passionate about host-pathogen interactions, diagnostic stewardship and the accessibility of "free knowledge" to anyone who seeks it. In her Ph.D., she developed mass spectrometry-based tools to study how human cells respond to E. coli infection, and she is interested in how "Big Data" tools can best serve public health. Having recently completed her clinical microbiology fellowship (and grade 26), she hopes to combine her interests to create useful, free resources while continuing to learn from those around her.
