Sanchita Das, MBBS, M.D., D(ABMM), is a staff microbiologist and director of the molecular microbiology laboratory at the department of laboratory medicine, Clinical Center, National Institutes of Health.
Her major areas of interest are diagnostic assay development using molecular methods for infectious diseases and studying bacterial resistance to antimicrobial agents. She is especially interested in using next-generation sequencing methods to develop diagnostic strategies and studying within-host viral evolution.
