The Appropriations Process
The annual appropriations process formally kicks off each year with the release of the President’s budget request to Congress. President Biden sent his Fiscal Year 2025 proposal to Congress on March 11, 2024. The presidential proposal marks the beginning of a multi-month process of finalizing and approving the Federal budget. Learn more about the proposed funding for multiple Federal science agencies:
