Edina Fredell, MPH, MT(ASCP), CIC, is an infection preventionist with Kaiser Permanente, Kaiser Foundation Hospitals. She received her B.S. in clinical laboratory sciences, medical technology, from California State University, Dominguez Hills and her MPH from Florida International University.
Prior to infection prevention and control, Fredell was a CLS microbiologist for Los Angeles county’s Department of Health Services. She served as principal blood parasitologist for the county’s second largest safety-net hospital laboratory. Today, she provides infection prevention consultation and subject matter expertise for central-line associated bloodstream infection prevention and emergency management.
