Hyun Youk, Ph.D.

Hyun Youk, Ph.D., is both a physicist and biologist. Since November 2020, he has been an associate professor of quantitative biology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Prior to moving his lab to the U.S., from 2015-2020, he was an assistant professor at the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. He received his Ph.D. in physics at MIT in 2010 with Alexander van Oudenaarden, Ph.D., as his thesis advisor. He performed postdoctoral research in Wendell Lim’s lab at University of California San Francisco from 2011-2014.
