Nicholas Moore, Ph.D., D(ABMM), MLS(ASCP), is the Associate Director of the Clinical °®¶¹´«Ã½ and Molecular Infectious Diseases Laboratories at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He also serves as the director of the BSL-3 biocontainment laboratory. 

Moore completed his B.S. degree at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. Following his undergraduate studies, he completed his M.S. at Rush University and became a certified medical laboratory scientist. He also earned his Ph.D. from Rush University where he studied the epidemiology of blaKPC-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae and chlorhexidine gluconate resistance among patients in long-term care settings under the direction of Mary Hayden, M.D. 

His research focuses on the epidemiology of multiple drug-resistant organisms, leveraging new technology to improve the diagnostic process, and the use of advanced molecular diagnostics to inform infection control decision-making related to nosocomial outbreaks.
